On the evening of 30th June 2009, GPRN/NSCN Leacy, late Pfithu Pochury was arrested by IM cadres and as a result of excessive torture; he died in their custody early next morning. Refuting the irrefutable is the last resort of scoundrels. The so-called MIP at Hebron is perhaps unaware that many Pochury public leaders and villagers saw with their own eyes the gruesome dead body of late Leacy Pfithu pochury. GPRN/NSCN has also obtained gruesome photographic evidence of the severely tortured and battered body of the victim however, the respect and human decency owed to the deceased and his family prevents their publication. If the victim died due to alcoholism and chronic gastritis problem as IM would like the Nagas to believe, who then smashed his hands and fingernails to deep black? Who pummeled his body from below the neck resulting in horrific swollen purple patches on the front and in the back? Why was his left arm hammered and twisted loose? His armpit and ribcage area had little resemblance of a human body owing to repeated kicks. According to reliable sources, a little before his death he begged for water but not even a drop was provided to him. After torturing an individual to death, it is utterly foolish to issue post morte-like statement citing drunkenness and gastritis as the cause of death. IM is still under the illusion that they can murder Nagas and continue to sing “Oh come ye all faithfuls” The overwhelming evidences only confirm IM’s impractical politics and barbaric mentality.
In the last two decades, IM’s institutionalized recklessness has excessively bruised and traumatized the Naga society. Clearly since their forced exit from eastern part of Naga homeland in 1988, for extreme mercilessness among other reasons, IM’s savagery in Nagaland, over the two decades has claimed the lives of many Naga politicians, bureaucrats, intellectuals, students, business entrepreneurs, village elders and innocent public. After being fed, clothed and armed by the Nagas on the western side. The guests, taking advantage of Naga political imbroglio, have treacherously betrayed the generosity of the hosts. Hundreds of Killings have been justified exactly in the same ridiculous manner that they now give on late Pfithu Pochury’s murder.
