NSCN-IM responds to Poumai union

Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): The NSCN-IM Maram-Thangal region has requested the Poumai Naga Union to “render a service by providing concrete evidence” to justify the ‘allegation’ of NSCN-IM cadres involving in the attack of Keize village.

A note from “executive officer” P Nogi stated that the “good name” of the NSCN-IM being dragged into “under any pretext” without evidence will not be appreciated in future. The note asserted that the NSCN-IM appreciates and value the participation of civil organizations in issues concerning genuine interest” and welfare of villagers. However it is against any organizations “going for drastic action most often carried away by emotion” or the “other unfounded reason.” 

“The issue of Keize village under attack is something regretful; but the allegation of the involvement of NSCN cadres is all the more regretful because strictly abiding by the six-points of national standing Azhas as issue by the GPRN there is no question of the involvement of NSCN in such uncivilized act” the “executive officer” stated.

The note also informed that the NSCN-IM is doing everything at its disposal to restore normalcy between Katomai village and Kabung Karong village. In this regard, the NSCN-IM appealed to the concern villages to bear with any inconvenience.
