NSCN (IM) Sumi Region national workers reaffirm support for Framework Agreement

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 11 (MExN): The Sumi Region national workers of NSCN (IM) have appealed to the Government of India (GoI) to expedite the historic agreement that was signed on August 3, 2015 and to implement the Framework Agreement at the earliest. 

In a press release, the CAO of Sumi Region stated that its members unanimously reaffirmed its stand to support for the Framework Agreement during the Sumi Region national workers meeting cum caretaker CAO induction programme on October 5 in Zunheboto.
During the daylong meeting, the members expressed appreciation on the wisdom of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, late Isak Chishi Swu and Th Muivah under whose leadership the historic Framework was signed, it stated. 

The Sumi Region national workers also urged the GoI and its representatives not to shy away from the historic agreement which the whole world is fully aware of. It maintained that the Indo-Naga issue has been delaying for far too long and to bring about a permanent solution, the Framework Agreement is the only honourable and respectable solution.
