DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 3 (MExN): The NSCN (K) has thwarted the plans of Ex-Deputy Kilonser, Manom Phom to contest in the coming general election stating that he had not been discharged from the GPRN. The MIP Secretary through a release stated that reports had been received from different corners of Manom enrolling in some political party with intentions to contest in the Nagaland ‘puppet state election’.
In this connection, NSCN (K) clarified that the ex-deputy kilonser had not been discharged from his duties but merely “expelled” from the organisation for a period of six months for gross indiscipline and anti-party activities. As such, the NSCN (K) informed that Manom could not contest in the election in his present position and cautioned that if he defied the directive, his action would be treated as “anti-national” and be prosecuted as per the law of the GPRN.
Furthermore the NSCN (K) cautioned that any political party entertaining him and using him as party official would be treated as an insult and disregard to the NSCN (K) and dealt with accordingly.
