Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The NSCN-K has assured the Yimchunger Tribal Council to “not to take it seriously” the “order” issued against YTC president by a “secretary” of Tisary region, NSCN-K.
“…we want to make it clear that before escalation of any unwarranted situation we are hereby asking the secretary of Tisary region to make himself known through mass media. And how and when he got what kinds of orders and from whom is not known to GPRN Yimchunger region” stated a hand-written response from “maj.” Kewongkhum Yim, “president” of the NSCN-K’s Yimchunger region. The region queried who empowered the said “secretary” to give orders to the president of “our apex body.” The YTC president is serving a social cause “for which you are equal in no way” t stated.
‘Make your identity known and prove your credibility. Pungro area falls under Yimchunger jurisdiction and we always had and also we will continue to have cooperation irrespective of any self-interested people” Kewongkhum assured.
In a separate note, dy. kilonser “Maj (Retd).” Yimto Yim, stated that the entire span of Yimchunger villages up to Hakumuti village fall under the Yimchunger region. “It is rather absurd on how some people are using GPRN or YTC as a mere child-play thing” he stated. The YTC is assure by the NSCN-K to “not to take it seriously and not to be gullible to the sublime message given by any ignorant individual. “Hence, since I have no interference in this matter, it will be better if the GPRN makes a clarification and give me a clean chit after confirming with Tisary region” the dy. kilonser added.
