NSCN-K extends Olive Branch to Ao Senden

Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): The NSCN-K has revoked all earlier “adverse orders” and resolutions issued against the Ao Senden after the August 23, 2003 arson in Mokokchung. This, an NSCN-K MIP issue stated, is in concurrence with peace initiatives from Gaonburas and Doubashis for establishing peace in Nagaland. 

“Taking into humanitarian consideration on the petition filed on June 20, 2007 by the Ao region, NSCN workers through their acting chairman, Noken Mungro before the hon’ble Ato Kilonser of GPRN requesting the government to drop or revoke all the previous adverse orders and resolutions adopted against the Ao Senden by the GPRN in relation to the ugly incident of the 24th August, 2003 and in the interest of peace in Nagaland, the GPRN hereby revoke all the orders passed and resolutions adopted by the GPRN against the Ao Senden and the persons involved in the commission of accesses towards NSCN leaders and its functionaries” the MIP issue stated. 

The NSCN-K stated that the ‘olive branch’ is being “offered” to the Ao Senden and the Ao community in concurrence with peace initiatives currently being undertaken by the Nagaland GBs’ federation and Nagaland DBs’ Association to restore peace in Nagaland by stopping bloodshed among the Naga people.
