NSCN (K) informs

DIMAPUR, JUNE 16 (MExN): The NSCN (K) today issued a public notice declaring its former Deputy Secretary, Kughato Chishi as a “traitor” and stated that “his extortion networks until his arrest covering Gauhati to Imphal goods transportations, dealerships on various essential commodities in and around Dimapur and Kohima, demand notes served on various departments in Kohima and Peren Districts etc identifying himself as Central Finance Secretary are to be considered annulled and unauthorized.” A press note from the MIP of the NSCN (K) informed “all the concerned public authorities, business organisations and individuals dealing with Kughato Chishi to immediately terminate the transaction.” It further claimed information that Chishi, who was apprehended by the Assam Rifles on June 1 and lodged in Central Jail Dimapur “is learnt to have been released from prison despite serious incriminating evidences found in his possession, while other NSCN workers arrested on similar charges are booked under non-bailable Un-lawful Activities Preventive Act.” “The nature of arrest and acquittal of Kughato Chishi is highly suspicious and clearly exhibits a deep rooted conspiracy whereby Kughato is doubtlessly a double agent serving the interest of Indian Army all the while,” alleged the NSCN (K).
