Athibung public told to return home
Dimapur, Feb 11 (MExN): The NSCN (K) has issued a directive asking denizens of Athibung who had earlier fled to return to their respective residences within ten days time. A person identifying himself as Luna of the UT 2 of the outfit passed on this directive over phone this morning saying the town folk had fled due to the fear psychosis created out of frequent factional clashes. “There is no reason to flee when there are sufficient IRB (personnel) and Police services stationed for the safety and security of the public,” he said. The fleeing of the people sounds absurd, he said. “If this public exodus continues, it will help the I-M. That is their intention.”
