Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Khango) has discharged three of its cadres who were allegedly involved in the assault of a Bachelor of Commerce student from Dimapur Government College on October 10. The individuals, identified as Phushito Yeptho, Vikiho Aye, and Akheto Shohe, all of whom held the position of Leacy under the Union Territory (UT), have been released from active national service with immediate effect due to defamation.
According to a press release from NSCN-K (Khango), "Henceforth, membership of the said officials shall cease to be validated and effectively bear no responsibility within the government."
The Dimapur Police reported that the trio were apprehended on October 22 from different locations in and around Dimapur during an operation conducted by the Sub-Urban Police Station team.
