NSCN-K (Khango) group condemns action of 43 AR

DIAMPUR, MAY 23 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Khango) group has condemned the action of the 43 Assam Rifles outpost C’ Coy where in one of its active member, a special card holder who was returning from official duty at CFSB office Thilixu village on May 21 evening was allegedly intercepted, blindfolded and taken inside the C’ Coy camp.

A press communiqué issued by MIP NSCN-K (Khango) alleged that the said official was arrested and blindfolded and taken inside the C’ Coy outpost camp where deliberate attempt was made to implicate him. This was done even after the said official produced the special identity card issued by the chairman CFMG/CFSB.

The NSCN-K also stated that the security forces seized the official issued weapon, besides his personal mobile handset and two-wheeler. It further alleged that one Major of the 43 AR has been targeting the NSCN members without any rhyme or reason by misusing the existing bilateral ceasefire ground rules.

It pointed out that the security forces of the same command were the ones involved in the March 23 incident which occurred when the NSCN-K (Khango) group after getting due permission from CFMG/CFSB Office was shifting its CFSB Office from Thilixu Aphuyesha to Thilixu Block V.

While advising the Major in question to refrain from such activities immediately and maintain peaceful co-existence between the two entities, it demanded the competent authority to take necessary remedial and corrective measures against the erring officer at the earliest.
