NSCN-K (Khango-Hokato) apologises over firing incident

Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Khango-Hokato) has tendered a formal apology to Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) and its frontal organisations for what it termed as “unfortunate incident” on the night of May 23 at Unity Village (5th Mile), Chümüokedima.

The incident resulted in “unprecedented firing by one of its cadre due to the provocative action meted by the NSCN (R)” and violated the June 5, 2024 resolution adopted by the WSH along with all its frontal organisations, noted a statement issued by the MIP NSCN-K (Khango-Hokato).

It further apologised “sincerely “to the citizens of Unity Village in particular and the Nagas in general for disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the State and hurting the sentiment of the people.

The NSCN-K (Khango-Hokato) also assured that it will uphold its commitment to strive for peace and endeavour towards “peaceful co-existence between the Government and its people.”
