Dimapur, August 15 (MExN): The Lotha region of the NSCN-K asserts that no matter the defections of its cadres to the NSCN-IM, the region remains strong. A note from the region stated that it need no be discouraged and “panic” over “some irresponsible persons” defecting to the rival faction.
Maintaining that the strength of Lotha cadres in the region has “about forty,” a note from “2nd Lt” Tsenchithung Lotha asserted that “it is sufficient only the cadres are sincere, dedicated and disciplined.” Therefore, freedom-loving and filly-democratized Lotha society need not worry about some undisciplined Lotha cadres defections from the NSCN.” The region expressed gratefulness that the NSCN-IM accepts defectors who are “womanizers, drug-addicts and alcoholics” and this reinforces the saying “birds of the same feathers flock together.”
Further, more than three hundred weapons have been taken to the NSCN-IM, Kilonsers and “army officers” have defected but the NSCN-K still survives, “holding the original principle of Naga movement without wavering,” the note asserted.
