NSCN-K (Niki) commemorates 45th Naga Republic Day

DIMAPUR, MARCH 21 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Niki) commemorated the 45th Naga Republic Day across various locations on March 21, with events taking place at the People's Army of Nagaland GHQ, Suruhuto, Eastern Command base in Burmese Occupied Naga Lands, and at the CFSB office premises in Padumpukhuri, among other regions. The celebration also extended to all 18 regions, two sub-regions, and three affairs within Nagaland.

According to a press release issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN, Starson Lamkang, Ato Kilonser attended the celebration at the CFSB premises, Padumpukhuri as the chief guest. During his address, Lamkang extended revolutionary greetings to all national workers present at the event and expressed gratitude for the ongoing support received throughout the NSCN/GPRN's journey. He also paid tribute to the fallen heroes who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of the NSCN/GPRN and the Naga people.

Lamkang emphasized the importance of Naga unity, describing it as a key priority for the NSCN/GPRN and a critical factor for securing the future of the Naga community. He called for collaboration among all Naga National Parties and civil society to achieve the common aspirations of the Naga people.

The presidential address, delivered by Gen Niki Sumi (Retd), President of NSCN/GPRN was read out during the event.
The event at CFSB premises also included a welcome address by Kilonser John Chitbo Konyak, while Hiketo Kiho Swu, Head of Department, Keya Affairs, conducted the Rank Declaration. Nika H. Kiho and Deputy Kilonser KS Vaiphei entertained the gathering with musical performances.

The invocation prayer was offered by Kilonser Hotoli, Prayer Convenor of NSCN/GPRN, and the benediction was pronounced by Asang Pochury, Kilonser of the Medical Ministry. Atsu Yimchunger, Deputy Kilonser, delivered the vote of thanks. The event was moderated by Ameka Achumi, Secretary to CFSB, NSCN/GPRN with Daniel Libemo Lotha, Sectional Officer of NSCN/GPRN, recording the proceedings.
