DIMAPUR, MAY 20 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Niki group) has expressed concern on the rampant rise of illegal activities including drug trafficking and scams of various forms duping innocent Naga public which, it said, was destroying the Naga society.
A MIP statement from the NSCN-K(Niki group) said it is committed to curb all such activities and initiate stern action against anyone found involved in anti-social activities. It also said that the group should“not be held responsible or answerable for occurrences of any unfavorable consequences due to hindrance caused by any individual, group or occupational state police in their efforts to contain anti-social elements.”
Asserting that it is the responsibility of every citizen and organization to stand against anything that is destroying the society and is against the wishes of the common people, the MIP release said various forms of scams and other illegal activities of vested interest individuals and groups has become a menace to Naga society and such practices have to be stopped.
