DIMAPUR, AUGUST 17 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Niki) has issued a strict warning to nightclubs, bars, lounges, and restaurants serving alcohol in Dimapur to cease employing or recruiting individuals under the age of 18. A press release issued by the MIP, NSCN-K (Niki) observed that underage youth are being exploited under the guise of providing employment opportunities.
Effective immediately, all such establishments are prohibited from allowing underage individuals to work or enter their premises, the press release informed while adding that it will conduct regular inspections and will take severe action against any management or owners found in violation of this directive. Underage individuals found in these venues will only be released following intervention from their parents, who will be required to sign a bond.
The NSCN-K (Niki) also expressed concern over the growing trend of underage individuals frequenting these establishments, highlighting its negative impact on their well-being and society.
Lamenting that such trend is having very bad influence over teenage boys and girls and are enticing them to indulge in activities which will not only destroy themselves but the society at large, the NSCN-K (Niki) emphasized that it will not remain silent but will take appropriate measures to curb such unethical activities.
