Dimapur, Dec 4 (MExN): The NSCN-K has warned that the Nagaland government and Nagaland State Police machineries would be held solely responsible for any “damage caused” to the organization from what was stated as operations against it. The NSCN-K also reaffirmed its ‘commitment’ on the ‘Quit Notice’ issued to the Tangkhul community, and has resolved on certain additions for ‘implementation’.
According to an NSCN-K MIP release, most of the anti-social activities in and around Dimapur and Kohima are the “handiwork of the so-called UNLF, PREPAK, ULFA, MULTA, PLA, KYKL, KCP etc”. However, Nagaland Police and the state government’s machineries are targeting the NSCN-K, launching operations against it on war footing with false allegations. “Therefore taking strong exception in this regard, the house resolved that Neiphiu Rio’s government will be held responsible for any loss or damage caused to the NSCN in any forms” the release stated and warned that the “self-centered police personnel who are actively engaged in the operation against the NSCN with their self-concocted allegations will be treated as anti-Naga elements.”
The MIP release also resolved that the NSCN-K will take its own course of action against “tax evaders from all walks of life”; that any authority or magistrate endorsing their signatures on any sale deed or contract deals between parties involving members of the said community will be doing so at their own risk; that any individual or group harboring them by leashing out houses/buildings on rent or in any manner will be liable to face action from the NSCN-K; that any individual or business/entrepreneurs patronizing or undertaking business ventures in Nagaland in collaboration or in connivance with “the Tangkhul terrorists’ will be liable to face action. The NSCN-K also reaffirmed its earlier stand that it would not participate in any move for unity and reconciliation involving the mentioned community.
