Kohima, July 15 (NEPS): The NSCN (K) alleged that there was nexus between the NSCN (IM) and Neiphiu Rio’s DAN Government in the State. This could not be brushed aside or given a whitewash by the media, said Kughalu Mulatonu, Kilonser of the NSCN (K) in a statement today.
The NSCN (K) leader said his organization would not accept the views of Rio’s DAN but they must admit their nexus with the NSCN (IM). He further came down heavily on the Chief Minister Rio and Kohima SP Martin that they should be “prepared to pay a heavy price” if they fail to return the weapons that were seized from his cadres.
“Nobody can sponsor a terrorist and threaten a nationalist,” Mulatonu, who is also Supervisor of the Cease Fire Supervisory Board, said. “People should live their lives in comparison with the past events.”
It may be mentioned that the Kohima Police arrested the cadres of the NSCN (K) with arms on Tuesday evening from near the Chief Minister’s high security zone residential area after they reportedly fired some rounds. They had charged that Rio used the services of the NSCN (IM) cadres for his residential security which was however denied by them (NSCN-IM).
