DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN): All ranks of the Khiamniungan Region NSCN-K (Yung Aung group) Naga Army led by Maj Gen Todimong reportedly joined the NSCN-K (Ang Mai) on November 21 at Liutik village, Kondon Range in the Khiamniungan Region in Myanmar.
A press release received from MIP, NSCN-K (Ang Mai) informed that a thanksgiving prayer was observed in this connection with senior leaders of the NSCN-K led by Mankhat Konyak, Dy Kilonser, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Vice Chairman Ceasefire Committee (Myanmar), Y Khomong Khiam, Dy Kilonser, Ministry of Kilo Affairs, and Khatwang Konyak, CCM received the cadres.
“This symbolic development is a positive step for a futuristic geopolitical masterpiece of unison, exemplifying the roadmap towards Naga struggle to retain sovereignty. While marching forward toward Naga political destiny, the NSCN-K (Ang Mai) commits to leave none behind,” the press release stated.
It also claimed that within a span of three weeks, “43 villages were toured and unequivocal support was pledged to the group by the Khiamniungan people in their support for peace and development in Naga inhabited areas of Myanmar.”
