Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): The NSCN-K (Yung Aung) has alleged that two civilians were killed in Khenmoi-Loiyi Village under East Konyak Region, Myanmar, in what it termed as an “Indian drone attack” on October 20.
Four others were seriously injured in the incident, it further claimed, condemning the attack “in the strongest terms.”
In a statement, the NSCN-K (Yung Aung) asserted that the attacks “expose India’s complete disregard for human life” and cannot be justified under “any pretext or vague explanation.”
“Whatever the reason may be, attacks on innocent civilians and children are unacceptable and a flagrant violation of all international norms and laws, and a heinous crime against humanity,” it maintained, terming the alleged incident a “clear act of genocide.”
According to the NSCN-K (Yung Aung), the October 20 incident was not an “isolated attack or a case of collateral damage” but the second “deliberate drone attack by the Indian military on Naga civilians this year,” following a similar incident on July 13, 2025.
Accordingly, it called upon the international community to take urgent action against India and hold her accountable” for what it claimed as “crime against humanity.”
The NSCN-K (Yung Aung) also urged all Naga civil societies and responsible citizens to join hands in condemning the attack. It further extended full solidarity and heartfelt condolences to the people of Khenmoi-Loiyi Village and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.
