NSCN Khaplang questions on violation of CFGRs

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 13 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN Khaplang has raised several questions to the Government of India and the Chairman Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB) with regard to ceasefire ground rules violation. A press note from the group’s MIP stated that this had already been pointed to the CFSB chairman during his meeting with the NSCN authorities at Mon recently.

The NSCN (K) has alleged of the Assam Rifles raiding the office of the NSCNs CFSB office at Mon and capturing arms belonging to the NSCN besides recklessly raiding the residence of its then supervisor Wangtin Naga that too in his absence who was in Delhi for talks with the GOI. The MIP note stated that the raids were conducted merely on the ground of “unfortunate killing of three (U) cadres who were sent on a mission to assassinate NSCN leaders at Mon with a bounty of more than Rs 21 Lacs in cash per head of NSCN leaders”.

The NSCN (K) also questioned as to how the “Khehoi group” was allowed to arrest Brig. Khamlong of NSCN and keep him confine in their camp for more three months right in the nose of the security forces in Dimapur? “Why can’t they raid Khehoi camp and rescue the NSCN Brigadier? Isn’t the GOI playing divisive policy among the Nagas?”

The NSCN (K) stated that it “can raid and crush the Khehoi camp any time and rescue its leader but would not it be violation of CFGRs?” “If the AR can raid NSCNs Cease Fire Supervisory Board office at Mon and seized arms only because of unfortunate killing of three would be assailants of Khehoi group then how come they can’t raid the Khehoi camp?”

Pointing out that “Khehoi camp was established as per mutual agreement between the NSCN and GOI”, however the camp “was given to the Khehoi group after the June 2011 split which became a hub of uncountable kidnappings for ransoms, killings, extortions and other sorts of illegal activities right in the nose of the security forces and other law enforcement agencies simply watching their routine affairs of illegal activities and dramas”.

The NSCN (K) wanted to know as to “who had authorised the Khehoi group to carry out all these extortions, kidnappings and arrest NSCN Brig. and keep confined in their illegal custody?” “Isn’t it a violation of Ceasefire Ground Rules (CFGRs)?”

The MIP note further stated that the “Khehoi group have been given free hand and were also allowed to established unauthorised camps at Shangnyu and Shangsha villages under Mon district and are carrying out their illegal activities unchecked while the people suffered at the hands of these bunch of criminals and money mongers that is destroying the very fabric Naga society and also tarnishing the image of the Naga national movement for freedom”.

Describing itself as a matured revolutionary Govt, the MIP note stated that the NSCN (K) was keeping a close watch and pointing out that everything has a limit. “Likewise NSCNs patience has its limit and testing the NSCNs patience for too long would be like an explosion which will have a far reaching effects that cannot be recovered or restored by mankind memory alone”.
