Mon, October 12 (MExN): A joint operation by Assam Rifles and Nagaland Police led to the apprehension of an NSCN (KYA) cadre along with two other individuals in Mon town, Nagaland.
A press release from the PRO Defense said that security forces set up a mobile vehicle check post to monitor incoming traffic.
During the operation, an Alto car was stopped for inspection, and security personnel apprehended the NSCN (KYA) cadre, along with two accomplices.
The team also seized a 7.65mm pistol, ammunition, and extortion-related slips and documents from the vehicle. The apprehended individuals, along with the seized items, have been handed over to Nagaland Police for further investigation.
