NSCN (R) appoints new General Secy

Dimapur, May 31 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) during its National Hoho at Hoito village on May 31, appointed Michael Yeptho as its General Secretary. He was administered oath of allegiance and office of secrecy by President Akato Chophi, stated a press release issued by its MIP. 

According to the MIP, having qualified with all the requisite criteria as enshrined in the Constitution (Yehzabo), the name of Michael was proposed by a senior member of the Collective Leadership, Viniho Kiho and was seconded by the Home Kilonser Nokrang Lanu Aier and members present. The official declaration was pronounced by the Speaker of the House, SG Hollo, it stated. 

Meanwhile, the NSCN (R) also welcomed members from NSCN (IM) comprising of both “Naga Army & Civil wings, led by Executive Members of Steering Committee, Brigadier Vikato Yeptho and Brigadier Atoshe Chophi, who also shared their views in the house.”

The MIP expressed optimism that the new developments would strengthen and propel the NSCN (R) to achieve greater heights in the common political journey of the Nagas.
