DIMAPUR, MAY 21 (MExN): The NSCN (R) today said that a joint effort from all sections is the only way to defeat COVID-19.
A press release from the MIP of the NSCN (R) stated that this is a time where every individual should forget about their political affiliations and shelve the politics of blame and finger pointing.
“This is a time when people should forget about their social/tribal/community attachments and this is a time when people should forget about their religious backgrounds/denominations, but come together in solidarity and speak in one language, one Identity, one people and one survival,” it added.
It asked all people to be responsible and adhere to rules and regulations. It further asked the Nagaland Government to continue helping its citizens, while putting the welfare of the frontline workers as a top priority.
Meanwhile, the NSCN (R) thanked frontline workers comprising of doctors, nurses, health workers, police and the press fraternity, who despite risks of their own lives are all out in the “battlefront.” It also acknowledged the assistance offered by various groups/forums/Churches and individuals.
It further appreciated the efforts of the Nagaland Government for its efforts to safeguard the State’s people and bring back its stranded citizens.
“The only medicine available (as of now) to eradicate this menace is only through joint efforts and collective responsibilities,” it asserted.
