Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): The NSCN (R) led by Akato Chophi has conveyed 'Naknyulem' greetings to the Chang Nagas.
Naknyulem is one of the major festivals of the Chang tribe, which signifies strong friendship bondings, where people engage in exchange of gifts and delicacies. This festival is also observed with traditional games with the womenfolk playing the traditional instrument called ‘Kongkhim,’ informed a press release from the MIP NSCN (R) on Sunday.
“The Chang people are known for their 'brave and strong mindset' yet very simplistic in nature.
May this festival bring about all the good things in life to our Chang brothers and sisters and may they also continue to thrive and be the channel of 'peace and unity,'” it added.
