NSCN (R) warn imposters taxing business establishments under its name

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 13 (MExN): The NSCN (R) has warned imposters taking the name of its organization and demanding money from business establishments.

An MIP release issued by NSCN (R) stated that many unscrupulous elements are serving 'information slips and demand letters to shops & business establishments' using pseudo identities in its name. In addition, some conmen were allegedly using real names of NSCN functionaries, particularly of high ranking personalities, and masquerading as these officials, it stated.

Cautioning that it was viewing this issue seriously, the NSCN (R) has issued a stern warning to all those responsible to immediately stop and refrain from such sordid activities or “face severe consequences of serious and of highest nature.”

It also informed all concerned that the NSCN (R) has not yet issued any ‘directives’ to any NSCN functionaries for collecting ‘legitimate tax’ on business establishments for the fiscal year 2019-20.
