Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN today said that “unity through forgiveness and reconciliation on the basis of the agreed Naga historical and political right signed at the highest level of the three political groups at Chiangmai through the good offices of FNR is the only option for concretizing the hope and yearning of all people.” ‘NSCN reaffirms its commitment that it will abide by it till to the last. NSCN has also given its consent to the decision of the FNR to finalizing the matter by the signatories,’ it added. The MIP however stated that the “two groups” are “aggressively advancing for territorial expansion everywhere.” A note from the organization’s MIP said “…taking undue advantages of the unity and reconciliation the two groups are aggressively advancing for territorial expansion everywhere. NSCN views it as the breach of trust and betrayal of the agreement, which can never be tolerated any longer.” In the event of confrontation between the two forces, the note stated, “anywhere anytime blame cannot be shifted to the NSCN but the aggressors or intruders should be held as culprits.”
