NSCN/GPRN clarifies

The NSCN/GPRN is compelled to issue this statement due to complications arising out the unfortunate Mokokchung incident where some NSCN cadres were reportedly involved in some sort of misunderstanding between NSCN (IM)  CAO Ao region which was in retaliation to the reported apprehension of our boys at Kohima on 11th May’13. According to Ao region commander NSCN K Col. Piyong Konyak that on 11th May 2013, the boys of the CAO of NSCN (IM) Ao region had arrested CCM Imti and Lt. Tongpang while they were in the office of Directorate of SE at Kohima and  seized one 9mm Pistol along with 40 pieces of ammunition, one Thailand made hand grenade and also took Rs. 35000 cash and later the two were taken towards Dimapur but fortunately while filling petrol at the petrol pump between Kohima to Dimapur the NSCN cadres could manage to escape and the Mokokchung incident was the outcome of the said Kohima incident. So in order to sort out the issue, the NSCN K cadres reportedly went to the residence of Ao region CAO’s place who also hails from the same village (Longjang) but with intention to cause harm to the NSCN IM functionary. However, as a precautionary security measure they have seized the vehicle key belonging to the CAO along with 4 handsets which the cadres will be returning through the RP of Changtongya.

It may also be noted here that the NSCN K as a people’s revolutionary Govt. doesn’t  committed towards bringing peace and settlement to the protracted Indo-Naga issue and have no intention of creating any unwanted situation that the people don’t want at this crucial juncture.

NSCN K QUESTIONS AR ACTIONS.

The NSCN K Sumi region questions the high handedness of 21AR who raided the residence of Political Organizer (PO) Sumi region of NSCN/GPRN last night between 9;30 to 10;00pm without any  rhyme and reason. Hukhevi Yepthomi Sumi region Chairman NSCN/GPRN said that the 21AR raided the residence of PO Sumi region Hokishe Zhimomi for more than half an hour and totally ransacked the house but failed to find anything adding to mental and physical harassments they have taken photo of the PO’s wife who is physically impaired  moreover, she was also made to sign on a blank paper which NSCN/GPRN viewed as a very serious violation of CFGRs. While the NSCN and GOI is in ceasefire, the actions of the AR in randomly raiding residences without any rhymes or reasons is uncalled for and is aimed at creating situations in the otherwise peaceful situations. It can also be mentioned here that presently, Zunheboto is in a peaceful situation but if such provocative actions are not corrected in time situation may go out of hand which the NSCN/GPRN will be not held responsible in the near future. The provocative actions of the AR personnel not only Zunheboto but also in Longleng, Kiphire and Phek are also being closely monitored as a violation of CFGRs and any follow up actions by the initiated by the signatory of ceasefire GOI is also being keenly watched.

The NSCN further questions the 31AR on whose information the AR personnel are acting against the NSCN by raiding the residences of Ao region supervisor and targeting the NSCN cadres or are the AR acting on their own will against the NSCN?  If the 31AR  are acting on somebody’s information than the NSCN asked the 31AR to clarify at the earliest possible time about their actions against the NSCN and the people in general.
