NSCN/GPRN condemns provocation

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim has informed that on October 14, 2010 at around 6:00 pm, Veketo, Rajapeyu of Chakhesang Region (NSCN (IM) was on his way from Nagarjan power house colony to visit his family members residing at Dimapur town. He was suddenly stopped by five unidentified persons who provoked and abused him for being an active member of the NSCN (IM), stated a condemnation note issued by Chonbenthung Lotha, Secretary Union Territory NSCN/GPRN.

According to the press note, sensing an evil intention Veketo fled from the scene in order to avoid any confrontation. But immediately he was fired from behind, stated the press note while informing that the Rajapeyu “miraculously escaped unharmed”. As such the UT of the NSCN/GPRN has strongly condemned such cowardly act stating that this threatened the peaceful atmosphere of Dimapur area. The press note further informed that such unwanted action will not be tolerated and warned al concerned that it will not remain a mere spectator but will act and deal accordingly.
