NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Hokato Vusshe) mourns

DIMAPUR, March 16 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Hokato Vusshe) has expressed sorrow over the passing of Hevuto Achumi of Khumishi ‘A’ Village, the father of Brig. Phuyeka Achumi, MSM, MC, Deputy Chief of Army Staff. Hevuto Achumi passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on March 14. An educationist, Hevuto Achumi established the first private school in Aghunato town, dedicating his time and efforts to shaping young minds and contributing to the educational growth and development of future generations. “He was also a founding member of Aghunato Town Students’ Union, a man with exceptional talent. He was particularly gifted in drafting skills, which he generously utilized for the upliftment of various social organizations across Aghunato Range,” the NSCN/GPRN stated. The organization highlighted his contributions in various civil, political, and social capacities, including serving as the GB of Aghunato town, General Secretary of the Indian National Congress (INC) 34 A/C, and General Secretary of the Eastern Sema Games Association. “NSCN/GPRN is profoundly honored and revered upon Late Hevuto Achumi who had humbly served the society with genuine concern and humanity till his last breath. It conveys its deepest condolences to the bereaved family at this hour of bereavement,” it stated.
