NSCN/GPRN (Niki) alleges ‘stage-managed’ surrender

Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has alleged of a ‘stage-managed’ fake surrender. The NSCN/GPRN (Niki), in a press release issued by its MIP, claimed that the individual, identified as Myanphua Ilakhun Alais Nyamehya (SA) Wangbo Hakhun, Dadam Village, Tirap was ‘prima facie found guilty of conniving with Indian security forces’ in an incident on October 20.

It led to the arrest of its cadres and the seizure of five assault rifles and a pistol along with ammunitions in the Chozuba area, the release stated.

Lookout notice was issued to all military commands and regions for his immediate arrest, it stated.  “Before the court Martial proceedings could be initiated against him for Treason which would have invited the death penalty, Myanphua Hakhun approached the Khonsa police station for safety on 26/10/2025 wherein the security forces stage-managed his fake surrender,” the NSCN/GPRN (Niki) alleged.

It cautioned “individuals in the payroll of their Indian paymasters acting as informers” of “dire consequences,” vowing to “leave no stone unturned to bring to book the culprits of high crimes such as treason.”
