An intense clash and exchange of fire came to a standstill. “Peace has been declared, Ceasefire!” both the warring factions broke singing happy rhymes of peace at Khukiye-Lukhai village under Satakha Sub-division.
A crucial meeting held under the aegis of the Sumi Hoho at Zunheboto Town today reached a hope-giving resolution. The meeting was attended by some top officials of both the factions with the Sumi NGOs. The talks ended successfully with a solution wherein both the factions agreed to maintain indefinite peace in all the Sumi inhabitant areas with immediate effect. Ceasing bloodshed and violence for better and positive developments and for unity and harmony to prosper in the land was the general message that resonated throughout the day’s deliberation.
With the support of both the NSCNs, the Sumi Hoho was able to bring to end the tense situation in the district as the leaders of both the factions signed an agreement with a positive note paving way for Peace to reign.
