NSCN’s words of gratitude

Our journey to the native village of our General Secretary Th.Muivah was hindered because of the opposition from the Manipur government. On the other hand our Naga brothers, the Angamis, opened their home and received us warmly. We deeply respect and appreciate the hospitality that has been extended by the Angami people and the Viswema village to Th. Muivah and his team during their 28-day stay in Viswema village.

The life story of Th. Muivah will not be turned into full circle without  Viswema village and their contribution. Th. Muivah was born at Somdal village nevertheless his political journey began in Viswema at the age of 28 years in 1964 with his election as acting General Secretary of the Naga National Council (NNC). Our great leader late Vizol was one of the respected leaders who proposed his name. Therefore this historic turning point in the life of Muivah will be remembered by all including  young and old of Viswema village in the days to come.

Our stay here was momentous and meaningful because we were given the opportunity to meet cross-sections of our people. We are confident that it will go a long way to consolidate our commitment for our history. Our open interaction will go a long way towards our understanding of ourselves and the struggles that lies before us.

We are deeply honoured to the Viswama village for their unreserved openness to receive us. May almighty God bless Viswema village abundantly. We trust this village consistently continues with their contribution towards the national struggle until we reach our destiny

The NSCN expresses our deep gratitude to Chairman and village authority of Viswema, churches leaders and all its villagers including school going children for the profuse welcome accorded to Th. Muivah, Ato Kilonser on his arrival on 5 May 2010. It was beyond our expectation.
