NSCU congratulates CM for assuming chair for 5th term

DIMAPUR, MAY 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) has extended congratulation to Neiphiu Rio for assuming the prestigious office of the Chief Minister of Nagaland for the fifth consecutive term.

NSCU president Pele Khezhie and general secretary John Kath in a press release also congratulated the combined NDPP-BJP pre-poll alliance for having retained the political power in the state with comfortable majority for the second consecutive term.  At the same time it also lauded all the 60 elected members who won the assembly general elections constituting the 14th House of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

It hoped that the incumbent government headed under the dynamic leadership of Neiphiu Rio would bring in more developments throughout the state based on justice and impartiality.

While extending its cooperation and support to the present state government, the NCSU urged the government to bring out yearly work programmes of all the departments regularly and also suggested that the best performing department be given befitting award on regular basis.

The NCSU meanwhile expressed concern on the issue of unemployment among Naga youths today while pointing out that a number of educated unemployed youths were coming for registration with NCSU for self-employment avenues.

On this matter, the Union has appealed the state government to redress the plights of its bona fide members through proper award of contract and supply works.
