NSCW condemns alleged rape on minor

DIMAPUR, JUNE 12 (MExN): The Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) has expressed dismay at the increasing frequency of crimes against women and children in the state with the most recent being the incident of sexual assault on a minor on June 10, 2018. While condemning the incident, NSCW chairperson Dr Temsula Ao in a press note has urged the law-enforcing authorities to expedite the case and mete out maximum punishment under the law to the perpetrator of this heinous crime. The Commission further stated that the minor victim of this crime should not only be adequately compensated but also be provided with proper medical and mental rehabilitation.
