NSCW condemns rape, molestation

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): The Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) has vehemently condemned the heinous act of rape committed on September 8 at Ngalwa village, Peren District. “The details of this horrific incident are not only deeply disturbing but an affront to the values and laws of our land. It is imperative that justice be swift and resolute in this case to send a clear message that such acts of barbarism will not be tolerated and the perpetrator be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” a condemnation note issued by NSCW read. 

The NSCW also condemned the harrowing incident of molestation on minor students by a school headmaster in Tuensang. Stating that the increasing crimes against women and children in the state are deeply concerning and alarming, it urged every right thinking citizen to condemn such inhumane crime committed on the vulnerable section of the society.
