
Kohima, November 22 (MExN): In accordance with the mandate of UN declaration of November 25 as ‘International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women’ and on December 10 as ‘International Human Rights Day’, the intervening 16 days have been observed for the past 25th years as Fortnight's Observation of Elimination of Violence against Women at both local and international levels to create awareness and promote advocacy for the cause. The Nagaland State Commission for Women, like in the past years, is organizing the launching programme of this fortnight at the De Oriental Hotel' High School Road, Upper Bayavu Hill, Kohima, at 10:00 am on November 24. Sano Vamuzo, former Chairperson, NSCW has kindly consented to be the chief guest. The invitees of the programme will include all Kohima Unit Tribal Women Hohos, NMA, Women leaders from churches and different political parties from women wing.
