NSDMA forecasts continued rainfall activities across Nagaland

Kohima, May 14 (MExN): Rainfall activities are expected to continue across Nagaland till May 21, informed the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department in a weekly update. 

During the period, Nagaland is expected to experience light to moderate rainfall and cloudy skies across with likelihood of heavy downpour across all districts accompanied by lightning at isolated locations on May 18,  it said.

Intermittent rainfall is expected throughout the period in all districts, it added.

Accordingly, the NSDMA advised the public to take necessary precautions, particularly to guard against lightning strikes and strong winds, which may disrupt communication and connectivity.

It further urged NSDMA rall District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) and other line departments to remain on high alert to safeguard lives and property during the monsoon season.
