Kohima, June 8 (MExN): The Nagaland School Education Administrative Officers Association (NSEAOA) has issued a clarification in regard to the publication in local dailies with the heading ‘high time for govt to be serious in education sector.’
NSEAOA in a press release stated that the Directorate of School Education press release has not mentioned anything about “inefficient officers” but has stated clearly that “unfortunately officers at the verge of retirement are posted to these crucial posts due to unavailability of “sufficient with reasonable service period remaining” and this short coming of instability in the Districts and Sub-Divisional administration remains unresolved.
“Therefore, such misconstrued assumptive opinion that creates unhealthy atmosphere cannot be encouraged,” NSEAOA, President, K Ruby Humtsoe stated.
It stated that inspite of sufficient officers available in the department, due to P&AR office memorandum 2019, “officers cannot occupy the vacant post because they have to stay minimum one year in a particular post and six months in the subsequent promoted post. This is affecting not only Education Department but also other Departments where higher post cannot be filled up inspite of clear vacancies available.”
The association added that CANSSEA has also requested the P&AR Department to review the order since it is affecting every department. ‘In this regard, the government should make relaxation to this order especially for Education Department since it is directly affecting the students who are the assets of our society,’ it added.
