Dimapur, June 23 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation is unhappy at the NPSC preliminary examination results for year 2005-2006 that it is “not up to the expected objectivity of the commission,” vis-à-vis cut-off marks.
The Federation explained that the commission had confirmed the cut-off marks (208 out of 400 marks) “wherein many student examinees were confident enough that their mark scored would be much above the said cut-off marks of the commission.” To redress the grievances of the students, the commission has to employ the ‘corrected model answer sample’ for the interested candidates “for satisfaction and justification,” a note from NSF education secretary Ahito Achumi stated.
The NSF asked the commission to intervene promptly and address the matter and “while trying to defend the people’s right, any unwanted situation that (crops) up should not be misconstrued or be held responsible.”
