DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 4 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has decided to call off any agitation with regard to the implementation of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) following issuance of government advertisements for the posts of Chairperson, Members (NSSB) and Secretary cum Controller of Examinations & Assistant Controllers.
“The NSF is pleased with the development and in light of the same, the officials of the federation in its emergency meeting held at NSF Oking, unanimously resolved to call off any form of democratic agitation as the government had complied with the demands of the federation in toto,” a press release from the NSF stated.
The federation also acknowledged the government for “heeding to the call of the Naga youth and students by ensuring that positive steps towards the earliest implementation of NSSB are initiated by the state government.” It meanwhile appealed to the government to expedite the entire process and ensure that examinations under the purview of NSSB are held within this calendar year.
