NSF calls off proposed agitation after NSSB postpones viva-voce

Kohima, April 18 (MExN): The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has indefinitely postponed its proposed democratic agitation starting April 18 following an announcement by the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) that it is postponing the personal interviews of the CSRE 2022.

This is consequent to the official communication from the Personnel & Administrative Department (Administrative Reforms Branch) to the NSSB to postpone the personal interviews for 3 days with effect from April 18, the Federation said.

Any further plan of actions will be communicated to all concerned in the coming days, it added.

The Federation had called for the agitation to protest against alleged inaction of the State Government on its “demand for the reduction of the Viva-Voce Component of the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination (CSRE) 2022 from the proposed 12.5% to 5% of the total marks.”

In another release, NSSB’s Secretary-cum-Controller, B Henok Bochum informed that the Viva-voce for CSRE has been postponed for three days in compliance to the directives received from the P&AR.

Next course of action shall be notified accordingly, he added.

Meanwhile, the NSF has extended gratitude to all the federating units and subordinate bodies, aspirants and general public for their continued support towards the federation's “quest to uphold the aspirations of the youth and students' community and for posterity.”
