DIMAPUR: The Naga Students Federation (NSF), while acknowledging the PMRY scheme as a source of financial assistance to the unemployed educated community, has urged the concerned authorities to exercise transparency in the selection process so that genuine candidates can avail of the benefits at the right time.
A statement issued by the Auditor General Charles Lotha and Education Secretary Sashimar Jamir, of the NSF stated that there should be a ‘smooth running of interview’ at the appropriate time and ensure that beneficiaries must possess genuine records.
It also cautioned that the Federation would not tolerate the involvement of anti-social elements and employing coercive means which would tarnish the image of the said scheme.
“The Federation is of the opinion that no political pressure or interference should take upper hand while conducting the interview keeping in view that nepotism and favoritism is eliminated” it stated.
