NSF demands action over NBSE exam paper leak

Kohima, December 2 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has called for “exemplary disciplinary action” against those responsible for the alleged leakage of question papers in the ongoing Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) Class IX Final Examination 2025 Phase-II.

In a representation to the NBSE Chairperson on Tuesday, the federation acknowledged the board's prompt notification (No. 100/2025) dated December 1, thereby initiating action on the deeply concerning incident.

The NSF stated it was “gravely disturbed” by the developments as reported across social media and confirmed by the Board’s notification. “We believe that decisive and exemplary disciplinary action against those responsible is crucial,” the representation stated.

While noting the board’s immediate measures, including continuing exams as scheduled and withholding results for four subjects, the students’ body urged a thorough and impartial investigation into the circumstances leading to the leakage of confidential examination materials.

It demanded strict disciplinary measures on any individual, whether staff, institutional head, or other personnel found to be involved, whether directly or through negligence.

The federation also called for Strengthen protocols and monitoring mechanisms within schools and examination centres to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

“We believe that timely and strong action by the Board will restore confidence among students and reinforce the credibility of NBSE’s examination processes,” the representation added.
