Mhakenyi Kro-u enters final

Kohima, November 3 (MExN): Mhakenyi Kro-u advanced to the finals at the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy after defeating Berenike FC 4-1 on Wednesday.

In the semi-final match on November 3, Asito Krose (7) scored the first goal for Mhakenyi Kro-u through a free kick in the 5th minute. He scored again from the penalty mark in the 17th minute, followed by another goal in the 86th minute, completing his hatrick.  Yhunshalo Kemp (9) added to the Mhakenyi Kro-u goal tally in the 80th minute.

Berenike FC’s solitary goal came in the 34th minute, and was scored by Longo (3).

Earlier, match patron Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso, Managing director KOHIMAS said that while Nagaland is considered a land of festivals, for outsiders it is a land of opportunities.

Naga youth complain about being educated unemployed while the non-Nagas coming to the state are not unemployed even if they are uneducated or unskilled, he stated.

He said that Naga youth are unemployed only because of laziness despite the favours extended by the government, and challenged them to not depend only on the government jobs, but be ready to take up any form of work. The second semi-final match of the tournament will be played between Headhunters and FIFA FC on November 4 at 5:30 pm with Kethosituo Sekhose Project Director DRDA, Dimapur as match patron.
