
KOHIMA, JULY 11 (MExN): The much-anticipated 25th Anniversary Edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy will be held from September 13 to October 18, 2025.
Organised by the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) and the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), the tournament commemorates its silver jubilee this year. Since its renaming in 1998, the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy has seen the participation of approximately 19,200 young footballers along with 1,920 coaches and team managers. The tournament recorded its highest number of participating teams in 2016, with 66 teams competing.
A comprehensive steering committee meeting was held on July 11 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima, with all committee convenors and members to review tournament preparations, planning, and logistics.
As part of its outreach and publicity efforts, the tournament’s official social media platforms were also launched during the meeting.
The official YouTube channel was launched by Khrielievi Chusi, Co-Convenor of the Steering Committee. The official Facebook page was launched by Sinhilo Thong, Steering Committee Member. The official WhatsApp group was launched by Diezevisie Nakhro, President of ASU.
