Kohima, June 15 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has written to the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland in connection to the recent advertisement dated June 8, 2010 published in the local dailies by the P&AR department to fill up the resultant vacancy under the Directorates and district office.
The Federation in the representation stated it was brought to the notice of the NSF that the Government is going to conduct a one day interview for the department as such the NSF has reminded the state government of their earlier representation submitted to the Chief Minster vide NSF/Rp-3/2010, 8th March whereby it was categorically stated that the recruitment policy affected out of the Retirement Act should be in total transparency without any favouritism and nepotism so that the competent should avail the opportunity.
Therefore, taking strong exception of the P&AR department notification, the NSF has explicitly stated its stand to the state government that the Federation shall not comply with the P&AR office notification until the state government conduct written examination beside interview for the departmental examination. The Federation also stated that the government should also advertise all the resultant vacancy in Toto affected out of the Retirement Act including Grade IV.
Henceforth, the NSF has appealed to the Chief Secretary to pursue the matter keeping in view the interest of the students’ community and in the event of the non-compliance to the plea of the students’ community, the NSF shall remain steadfast in its stand.
