NSF unimpressed with govt. response on NPSC

Dimapur, July 7 (MExN): The Naga Students Federation (NSF) has expressed unhappiness over the manner in which the recent NPSC fiasco has been handled by the State government. Making this point clear, the NSF in a press note stated that it was taking the NPSC scam seriously and that it was dismayed in the manner in which the NPSC scam was handled presently. “It is discouraging to see that the whole process of investigation appears to have been stuck somewhere without any progress”, the NSF President and General Secretary stated in a press note received here. The NSF suspected that some “fishy things” was happening as some highly influential parents of the culprits are also involved. The NSF stated that there was no reason to “accommodate any form of leniency” and pointed out that it was not convinced with the response from the State government dated July 6, 2009 with regard to the swapping of NPSC answer script.

Pointing out that the nature of the case being such, it required speedy investigation and disposal but rather the NSF expressed dismay that even after a lapse of more than four months the investigation has failed to produce tangible result. The NSF pointed out that its repeated appeals and reminder had not been responded with seriousness while claiming that those dealing with the matter were doing it in a lackadaisical manner and was been “manipulated” which was denial of “just justice”. Stating that the recent NPSC scam was an opportunity to act together and cleanse the corruptive trend prevalent, the NSF affirmed that it was undeterred and was committed to fight for justice and to ensure the judicious dispensation of the present scandal. The NSF also stated that it would initiate its own course of action as deem fit for which the government shall be held responsible for any eventuality.
