NSRLM aims implementation plan for grassroots convergence

Kohima, April 16 (MExN): Departments involved in grassroots development have initiated development of strategic framework with clearly spelt out roles and responsibilities as part of the PRI-CBO convergence component being taken up by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM). 

A two-day stakeholder workshop was held on April 11 and 12 which was facilitated by Kudumbashree NRO, an empanelled resource organisation under MoRD and officials from DAY-NRLM, MoRD deliberated and shared inputs for developing a comprehensive state operational framework. 

The participants comprised of officials from the departments of Rural Development, Social Welfare, Health & Family Welfare, Education, Industries & Commerce, Fisheries, Commissioner’s office, Nagaland State Women Commission, State Hub for Empowerment of Women, Nagaland State Social Welfare Board, Fisheries and Aquatics Resources and Tribal Affairs along with the state, district and block staff of the NSRLM. 

Draft of the framework include components like situational analysis, rationale, goal and vision, objectives, geographical coverage, implementation architecture, key strategies, responsibility matrix, log frame and Monitoring and Evaluation amongst. Core Committee for finalizing the State Operation Framework was also formed. 

“It is expected that by May, a MoU with the NRO will be signed by NSRLM, RD for rollout of PRI CBO Convergence in the State,” Khriezovonuo Lhoungu, SPM-SISD/KMC NSRLM, Kohima stated in a press release.
