Kohima, May 11 (MExN): The NSRLM bid farewell to its outgoing Mission Director, Motsuthung Lotha in a programme held at RD Directorate Conference Hall, Kohima. Minister for RD & REPA CL John in a speech called Motsuthung Lotha ‘a practical man” who has made the Mission a success through his diligence and hard work. Under his leadership, the State Mission has achieved its targets set during its inception in 2013, John stated and added that the department as a whole would follow the footprints and the legacy left behind. John further advised the RD department to work as one and foster respect amongst all ranks and files to ensure success of the department. In a short speech, Secretary RD Kelei Zeliang stated that the contribution of the outgoing MD towards the department was tremendous. Calling Motsuthung “an efficient and strong officer” and “a pioneer of NRLM in Nagaland”, Kelei stated that he had done his job well which was evident from the respect the SRLM and the department as a whole get from the Ministry. The outgoing MD, in his speech, acknowledged the support rendered by the Rural Development department towards the Mission. Calling it a team effort, he said whatever success has been achieved so far is due to the collective work of the staff and the guidance of the parent department. He said the Mission is still in a learning stage and hoped the department would continue to support and give more guidance in future. Expressing concern over fund constraints, he further appealed for timely sanctioning of State shares. Speeches were also delivered by K. Shekiho Phuleshe, AMD, SRLM and Sentinaro Longkumer, SPM, SRLM.
