Changtongya, July 17 (MExN): As an initiative under Livelihoods and FNHW, the DAY-NSRLM, Block Mission Management Unit, Changtongya RD Block with support from Changtongya Block Level Federation organized an exhibition cum sales day at local ground, Changtongya town on July 17.
The block in a press release stated that the exhibition included organically grown vegetables and fruits from all eight villages under Changtongya Block with the aim to promote organic farming and its health benefits and also encourage the farmers on self sustainability. The event aimed in creating awareness on the contribution of organic farming to the economy of the land and people.
The best grown exhibited vegetables and fruits were judged and awarded with monetary prizes. The exhibition was dedicated by Rev Temshi, Pastor CTBA. The exhibition was judged by Dr Imtimongba Kichu MO CHC Changtongya, Putinungba Jamir Chairman, All Ward Union Changtongya Town, Rongsennungla President, Changtongya Town Watsu Tentet.
